If I die

Kite Beach, Dubai

If I die at sea,
don’t rush to bury me.
Dip my words in ink.
Let the pain sink in.
Pray, God welcomes me.

If I die at sea,
I reached divinity.
Let my thoughts drown you.
Trace them on the shore.
Lay them by my corpse.

Look within you, and you will see,
I gave my life to set you free.
Close your eyes, you’ll find the key;
the universe lies within you.

Oh, ’cause if you’ve seen it, honey,
it was a beastly crime.

Hold on.
Hold your breath.
Paint the sky in my red.
It’ll find its way.
It’ll cover the waves,
and soak the sand beneath.

Now, give up.
Give way…
for my soul to be free.

Love, Alyazya
